Food in Hunter Valley is another one you cannot miss out on. This one is pretty tricky to only recommend two places when everywhere you go might just be your favourite.

Baumé Restaurant is just one of those places you’ll never forget. The outdoor area is beautiful and truly a breath of fresh air. The menu leans Mediterranean with plenty of wood-fired goodness, from slow-braised lamb shoulder to crisp, hand-rolled pizzas that are perfect for sharing. It’s perfect for couples, friends, and even families looking to share good food.

For a dining experience that feels a bit special, head to EXP. Restaurant in Pokolbin. Their multi-course tasting menu changes with the seasons and puts a spotlight on local Hunter Valley produce with creative twists. The space itself is moody and intimate, with an open kitchen so you can watch the chefs in action. It definitely earns a spot on your “must-dine” list when you’re in the Hunter Valley.
